Post-convention blues can really bring you down, especially when it involves something as epic as the Craft Brewers Conference. However, we have many reasons to be excited after returning from CBC 2018 – and we aren’t just talking about all of the lovely beer we tried – its simply that we were able to meet so many of you and showcase our WaveGrip applicators and sustainable carriers, as well as witness the genius that is the craft beer industry. All this and launch our new Instagram channel with our amazing prize draw a trip for two to beautiful Scotland – it was indeed some week!
#ShowUsYourSixPack – did you dare?
Let’s begin therefore with our #Showusyoursixpack competition, not an excuse to see some beer bellies but rather a joining of British seaside tradition, Global selfies and our Scottish heritage and all within the confines of our new Instagram channel. The rules were simple, come to the WaveGrip stand and get your picture taken in our photoboard and then post that snap online making sure to tag the above-mentioned hashtag. The winner, picked at random, would win a trip for two to the homeland of WaveGrip, Scotland.
And therefore, it’s with great excitement we can announce the winner, so please a round of applause for – Anna Laizure (Instagram: @annalaizure). We hope you enjoy your trip over to bonnie Scotland later this year and hopefully we will be able to update on your travels over!
CBC wasn’t all just giveaways though, as part of our stand we were also able to showcase our lightweight and fully recyclable carriers; providing durable and sustainable multipacks of 4, 6, or 8 for canned beers.
Additionally, we also had our entry level multi-pack applicator the G1. With its speeds of up to 100cpm, small footprint and affordable price tag the G1 really is the best craft beer multi-packing solution.
Don’t believe us? Well why not listen in to Mike Halker, founder of Due South Brewing Co. who we sat down with at the show to create our first customer story video. We think it’s the perfect case study as Mike discusses his brewery, canning and the decisions involved in choosing the G1 and WaveGrip.
There’s no doubt he’s on to something from the demand we saw at the show and of course our friends at Lancaster Brewing Co. also agree as they have taken delivery of their G1 straight from the show.
Finally, we think it is time to discuss some of the things we saw and witnessed while in Nashville. The pure genius and creativity that was on offer was astounding, a huge sign that craft isn’t just a fad like some people predicted. One thing that couldn’t be missed though was the huge push to celebrate independence; ‘seeking the seal’ was everywhere, from the banners, to the seminars and even the Wi-Fi password! If one prediction is to be made about American craft beer for the next year, it’s that we will be see a lot more of that little stamp.
CBC we thank you for an amazing show once again. Undoubtedly, it’s now time to look forward, both at the trends and advancements in Craft Beer and of course for WaveGrip as we aim to deliver the best multi-packing solutions available. And it’s also looking forward to Denver and 2019, for what will undoubtedly be another fantastic conference – what else can we say but ‘Cheers!’.
