WaveGrip has strengthened its engineering team with the appointment of two new members to its growing workforce; Grant Gordon and Idir Touhouche join the company as Engineering Project Manager and Graduate Project Engineer.
Grant has over 10 years’ experience in project management and engineering, joining from Diageo owned Zepf Technologies UK, where he was a Design Engineer, specialising in Bottling and Packaging. In his new role Grant will report to Director of Engineering Bill Robertson and be responsible for overseeing all engineering projects to ensure delivery of WaveGrip’s multi-packing solutions to its customers.
“This is an exciting time to join WaveGrip with its innovative range of sustainable multi-packing solutions,” explains Grant. “Much of my work over the past 10 years has been within the beverage and FMCG sector and in my new role I will be able to use this experience to ensure that we deliver the products and solutions that our customers require.”
Idir joins WaveGrip after securing a first class MA in Chemical Engineering from University College London (UCL). Also joining the Engineering team, he will offer project support across all WaveGrip’s business areas.
“I’ve spent the last few years learning and training specifically for a job like this; I’m now very keen to hit the ground running and build on all my training in a professional business setting.” comments Idir.
“With so many innovative projects and developments coming up this year for WaveGrip, now was the perfect time for expansion,” comments Aaron McIvor, WaveGrip Managing Director. “These two appointments reflect our focus on growth and ensuring we have the necessary resources to meet the demands of both our existing and new customers.”
