The WaveGrip team were delighted to receive a Highly Commended award in the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category at the 2017 UK Packaging Awards.
The UK Packaging Awards ceremony, held last Wednesday at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, recognised every area of the packaging supply chain. Now in their twelfth year, they have become the leading packaging awards event in the UK market and pride themselves on the level of expertise of its judging panel.
The Innovation Category recognises excellence in packaging design, production and innovation. Judges praised WaveGrip’s re-engineered rim-applied carriers and applicators for the multi-packing of cans, including the entry-level G1 which enables craft and artisan producers to use carriers from the earliest stages. Overall, they noted that it was an “Impressive challenge to a long-term industry standard”.
